May 18, 1927 - Sometime after murdering his wife, Andrew Kehoe sets off explosives at his farm, destroying his home, and travels to Bath Consolidated School, where he had been setting up timed explosives for several months. By the time he arrived, much of the bombs had successfully detonated. Kehoe proceeded to shoot another explosive in his vehicle, killing himself in the blast. At the end of the attack, 45 people were dead, most of them children.
